How To Treat Chronic Fatigue Syndrome With An Infrared Sauna?

If you are on the hunt for an infrared sauna for sale to treat your Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS), you have come to the right place! It is estimated that over one million people in the United States suffer from this disease, which results in symptoms such as unexplained fatigue, muscle pain, low-grade fever, headaches and insomnia.

Curing The Symptoms Of Chronic Fatigue Symptoms With An Infrared Sauna

Having to deal with chronic fatigue daily is not only crippling, but can also reduce a person’s quality of life. Many doctors will help their patients cope with this medical condition with antidepressants, sleeping pills and therapy, but most of the time these treatments work to no avail. Over the years, clinical studies have concluded that regular far infrared sauna use can be the new and innovative approach to treat CFS.

What Is Chronic Fatigue Syndrome?

Before you can look for an infrared sauna and compare sauna prices, you have to understand what Chronic Fatigue Syndrome or CFS is. Unfortunately, CFS is a long-term illness that has many symptoms, with the most common one being (and you guessed it) extreme tiredness. Research has proven that infrared sauna sessions can reduce the symptoms and improve the overall well-being of individuals affected.

The illness does not discriminate as it can affect anyone, including children; however, it is most prevalent in women. The symptoms usually begin to develop between the mid-20s and mid-40s. The primary symptom of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is an overwhelming sense of tiredness and not feeling well. Also, there are some other symptoms that a person affected by Chronic Fatigue Syndrome can experience, such as:

  • Insomnia
  • Muscle or joint pain
  • A sore throat or sore glands that are not swollen
  • Not being able to think, remember or concentrate properly
  • Flu-like symptoms
  • Headaches
  • Fast or irregular heartbeats
  • Feeling dizzy or sick

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is thought to be a chronic condition, and treatment is usually targeted at reducing the symptoms. Studies have shown that thermal heating, such as infrared sauna use, can ease the symptoms and improve the overall well-being of patients.

How Can An Infrared Sauna Help You Recover From Chronic Fatigue Syndrome?

Investing in a home infrared sauna is a wise avenue if you have been diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Researchers from Kagoshima University Faculty of Medicine in Japan have developed a specific therapy using far infrared saunas. The therapeutic process involves warming the entire body in an infrared sauna for about 15 minutes. After the deep-body temperature has increased, the patient exits the sauna and the soothing warmth effects are sustained by resting under blankets for an additional 30 minutes. After that, the patient is given water in an amount that corresponds to body weight lost via perspiration. The therapy is typically performed once a day for three to five days a week over the course of two to six weeks.

In the latest study, the researchers tested whether this protocol for infrared sauna benefits patients with chronic fatigue syndrome. Ten patients stayed in a 140°F far infrared sauna for 15 minutes and then rested on a bed under a blanket for an additional 30 minutes outside the sauna room.

The treatments were performed once a day, five days a week for four weeks. Perceived fatigue was evaluated using a numerical rating scale before, during and after therapy. Pain level, mood and other symptoms were also assessed before and after therapy.

Perceived fatigue levels significantly decreased after therapy. On a scale of 1 to 10, the average level of fatigue was reduced from 6.7 to 4.8. Negative mood, including anxiety and depression, significantly improved after therapy. In addition, the patients’ ability to carry on normal social life and work activities significantly improved. No patients reported any adverse effects during the therapy.

An infrared sauna truly is the gift that keeps on giving because of all the wonderful health benefits it can provide. A number of human studies have been published over the last few years showing that infrared sauna therapy is an effective treatment for a wide range of medical conditions such as these below:

Flush Away Heavy Metals

Although the results are that heat therapy can help sufferers of CFS, how does an infrared sauna go about doing that? For starters, it can help your body eliminate heavy metals through sweating. If you do not sweat profusely enough, you can drive your body to damaged mitochondria which causes inflammation in the body and can lead to CFS. That is why it is very important to help your body flush out these internal inflammatory causes.

It is shocking to learn that metals such as arsenic, mercury, cadmium and lead are usually detected in many environmental sources and can amass inside the body, which results in health issues. If you are one of these people who are loaded with heavy metals, sweating is an activity to eliminate them. Studies show that sweat contains higher amounts of these metals compared to blood or even urine. Do your body a favor and jump into an infrared sauna, sweat those heavy metals out of your pores and shower them all away!

Regenerate Cells

aily use of an infrared sauna can help your body’s cells to regenerate. People who are afflicted with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome usually have issues with the mitochondria not working properly in their cells due to inflammation. Infrared sauna session can help the body to restore enzyme activity and lower cell death by fifty percent.

Lose Weight

If you are trying to justify the sauna cost, you can add weight loss as one of its pros. An infrared sauna produces a heat that can increase your body’s core temperature, which makes your heart beat faster (as it would with moderate exercise). The body is forced to work vigorously to lower the core temperature, which results in burning more calories, and ultimately, weight loss.

Boost Your Immune System

Having a good sauna session can do wonders for your immune system so it can be fitter and stronger to fight off viruses, bacteria and parasites. It does all this by increasing the body’s white blood cell count, for example, leukocytes, neutrophils and basophils. Raising the body’s core temperature can increase immunity and white blood cell count. Many sufferers of CFS have mitochondria damage which prevents them from coping with various viruses, bugs, bacteria and parasites.

Prevent Protein Deterioration and Muscle Loss

Sadly, protein deterioration and muscle loss play a huge role in adrenal fatigue. The body responds to excessive tiredness by going into “catabolic physiology”, which means the body begins to “eat” itself so it can acquire energy.

When this process occurs, the body takes amino acids from its smooth muscle tissue and inner gut lining. This is the main reason why CFS sufferers not only feel fatigued every second of the day, but also physically weak.

Infrared sauna therapy helps the body produce heat Shock Proteins or HSPs that the body’s cells use to offset harmful stressors, such as environmental pollutants, toxins, cold, heat, exercise stress and lots more.

An Infrared Sauna can help treat chronicc Fatigue by:

  • Boosting the immune system
  • Preventing protein deterioration and muscle loss
  • Helping weight loss
  • Regenerating cells
  • Flushing out toxic metals

If you are suffering from CFS, and traditional medicine has failed you, then you may want to give infrared saunas a try. There is increasing proof that regular sauna therapy can improve a Chronic Fatigue Syndrome patient’s life!
